Beck: 'We Are A Nation On A Suicide Course'

After having spent nearly all of last week growing increasingly freaked-out(link is external) about the Ebola threat, Glenn Beck had toned down the nonstop coverage this week until the news(link is external) broke last night that a doctor in New York City had tested positive for the virus after returning from treating patients in Guinea.

That news, coupled with reports(link is external) of a hatchet-wielding man having attacked police in New York City and the shooting in Canada(link is external) earlier this week, prompted Beck to fume(link is external) on his radio broadcast today that President Obama simply does not care about keeping America safe from disease or from what he is now calling "psychotic Islam."

"How does he survive being this wrong on so many things?" Beck asked, without a hint of irony(link is external), concluding that our society has gotten to the point that America has become "an abomination" that is on the verge of suicide, which is why our young people are trying to join ISIS(link is external).

"Because we in the West don't stand for anything anymore, our children are bored" and have nothing to believe in, Beck said, which is why it should come as no surprise that "our children are actually going over and trying to join ISIS because they know we have built something that is a complete and total fraud ... What we have built is an abomination."

"We are a nation on a suicide course," Beck said later in the segment, warning that when America goes down, it will take the entire world with it.

"They always have said when America sneezes, the rest of the world gets a cold," he said(link is external). "Well what happens when America gets Ebola?"
