Breitbart: FRC Not Anti-Gay, Only Opposes Same-Sex Marriage

John Nolte at Breitbart is upset(link is external) that CNN called the Family Research Council an “anti-gay” group, explaining: “The anti-Christian CNN chose to cover Friday's Values Voters Summit with a chyron that blasted the three-day gathering of social and religious conservatives activists as ‘anti-gay.’ Unless there is something else going on I'm unaware of, CNN is smearing this organization as anti-gay based only on their opposition to same-sex marriage -- a position President Obama held until last year.”

Oh really?

The FRC’s president Tony Perkins lauded(link is external) Uganda’s law which made homosexuality a crime punishable by death or life imprisonment, warned that the government will promote gay relationships to further “population control(link is external) and called gay rights advocates “pawns(link is external)” of Satan.

The group’s senior fellow Peter Sprigg said that homosexuality should be outlawed(link is external) and gay people exported(link is external) and its prayer coordinator urged members to pray(link is external) in favor of Malawi’s ban on homosexuality.

So yes, “there is something else going on(link is external)” at the FRC.
