David Benham Explain His Love For Gays … On Bryan Fischer's Notorious Hate Radio Show

On Tuesday, David Benham continued his charade about showing “love” for gay people in a radio interview with Bryan Fischer, the notoriously anti-gay radio host whose bigotry is so extreme that even Mitt Romney felt the need to condemn his “poisonous language(link is external).”

Along with his brother Jason, Benham spoke to Fischer(link is external) about his “love” for gay people. Benham has previously expressed this “love” by labeling homosexuality “destructive(link is external),” “demonic(link is external)” and akin to Nazism(link is external). The interview(link is external) should come as no surprise, as Benham and Fischer both(link is external) claim(link is external) that(link is external) demonic(link is external) forces(link is external) are behind homosexuality, which they both insist(link is external) is a statement of love(link is external).

Fischer, for his part, openly admits(link is external) that he supports anti-gay discrimination (link is external) , claims gays are “demonic(link is external),” has likened gays to terrorists(link is external), wants gays removed from public office (link is external) and blamed the Holocaust on gay people(link is external). The American Family Association spokesman — who supports the criminalization of homosexuality(link is external) — has backed draconian anti-gay laws in countries like Uganda(link is external)India(link is external) and Russia(link is external).

While Benham has denied making anti-Muslim(link is external) remarks(link is external), the same cannot be said for Fischer, who wants to forcibly convert Muslims(link is external) with threats of violence(link is external), whom he claims worship a demon(link is external)ban Muslim immigration(link is external) and mosques(link is external)thinks Islam should be outlawed(link is external); demands the deportation of Muslim-Americans(link is external) and believes Muslims are inherently stupid and violent(link is external).

Let Fischer explain this disingenuous view of “love” for Muslims and gays(link is external):

Today, Benham told(link is external) the Christian Broadcasting Network that homosexuality has turned from a “sin” into “an agenda that not only dominates and permeates” but “seeks to assassinate” people like him:

Where we are in terms of national sin, where we approve of what God disapproves of, when we do that it will ultimately get to the point where that sin will become an agenda that not only dominates and permeates, but it seeks to assassinate anyone who speaks out against it. That's where we are as a nation.
